The Bound Polaron under the Effect of an External Magnetic Field
Abstract
Using the adiabatic approach, the effect of an external magnetic field on the bound polaron is investigated. The energy, the number of phonons around the electron, and the size of the polaron are calculated for the ground state, and for the first two excited states. It is observed that, the magnetic field and the Coulomb field enhances the polaronic effect on the problem. The three fields: The polaronic, the Coulomb, and the magnetic fields affect each other in an interrelated manner
