Interpretation of the Qur’an by the Qur’an according to Imam Muqatil bin Suleiman (Surat Al-An'am is a model)

Abstract

This research aims to explain the approach of Imam Muqatil bin Suleiman in his interpretation called the Great Interpretation, so he paved the way for him by defining the interpretation of the Qur’an with the Qur’an, then added to the definition and interpretation of the interpreter. Therefore, the theoretical section was followed by an applied section that clarifies the subject of the study, and the researcher chose Surat Al-An’am as a model.

In this study, the researcher followed the descriptive-analytical approach combining induction, analysis, rooting and representation in tracing the Qur’anic verses relevant to the topic. Nobody knows the meaning of God’s words from him (Glory be to Him).
